01 Overview

Roam designs, develops and deploys electric motorcycles and mass-transit buses tailored to local roads and riders. In 2022 we rebranded Roam to better reflect its focus on electric mobility across the African continent.

02 The challenge

A growing company that had outgrown its name.

Roam was building serious electric vehicles for African conditions, but its identity no longer matched its ambition or its expanding range — from motorcycles to mass-transit buses.

It needed a brand that could carry both product lines, read clearly across markets, and signal that this was electric mobility designed in Africa, for Africa.

  • One identity spanning motorcycles and buses.
  • A system that scales across markets and media.
  • A confident, continental point of view.
03 What we did
  1. 01Brand strategy & naming direction
  2. 02Identity system, badge to bus livery
  3. 03Website & brand rollout
04 The approach

A single identity, built for a whole continent.

We rebuilt Roam's identity around its focus on electric mobility across Africa — a flexible system that holds together from a motorcycle badge to a bus livery to the website.

The result reads as locally rooted and globally credible, giving Roam one confident voice as it scales across the continent.
